Welcome to the 2024-25 Short Course Season

Welcome to the 2024-2025 Short Course Season with ESCALATE Aquatic Team.  We are excited to have our returning swimmers along with new swimmers for this upcoming season.  Our primary goals are to help swimmers with their technique and speed in all four strokes while working hard to improve their endurance.  All coaches will be back from last season with Coach Mike leading the Junior and Senior Groups at the Training Pool along with Coach Lizzy who will lead Age Group, Developmental 1 and Developmental 2.  Coach Gia will lead Age Group and Junior/Senior Groups at the Greatwood Pool with Coach Nayeli who will lead Developmental 1 and Developmental 2.

Our new season will kick off on August 19, 2024, for all registered swimmers at the Greatwood Pool.  Please register your swimmers as soon as possible.  We will return to the FBISD Training Pool at the beginning of September.

Our practice schedule will be a little whacky in September as FBISD will host its water polo games on Wednesday and Friday at the FBISD Training Pool.  Training Pool swimmers will practice at the Greatwood Pool on those days.  Please see the practice schedule below for September.

*Greatwood Pool swimmers only in Dev 1 and Dev 2.  All Age Group swimmers from both pools will practice from 5-6 pm at the Greatwood Pool.

We will transition back to our normal Monday, Wednesday and Friday practice schedule for the Developmental 1 and Developmental 2 swimmers at the Training Pool when water polo ends by the first or second week of October.  Please see the practice schedule below after water polo season.

Please note that high school meets will start after water polo so there will be days when the Training Pool swimmers will practice at the Greatwood Pool.  High school meets will be held on Tuesday and Thursday.

I will provide a weekly update with the upcoming week practice schedule/locations along with the tentative practice schedule/locations for the following week.

Team Fees for 2024-2025 Season:

• Team Registration (annual covering August 2024 – July 2025):  $160 per swimmer with a $400 cap for a family (includes 2 t-shirts and 2 silicone caps)
• USA Registration fee (annual covering September 2024 – December 2025).  This registration must be done through USA Swimming.  It is a requirement for all ESCA members to be registered with USA Swimming as it covers our liability insurance.  I will provide the registration info at the beginning of September.  Please register your swimmers after September 1.
  • Premium Membership:  ~$100 (not limit to the number of meets or champs meets)
  • Flex Membership:  ~$25 (limit to 2 meets annually, cannot participate in champs meets, must be 12 years old or younger)
• Team monthly fee (family discount:  $10 off 2^nd swimmer, $20 off third swimmer, and $30 off fourth+ swimmer)
  • Dev 1 and Dev 2:  $160
  • Age Group:  $175
  • Junior Group:  $195
  • Senior Groups:  $195

During the registration process, you will have to pay the team registration and monthly fee.  There is no fee in August.  The monthly fee that you’re paying for during registration is for the month of September.  You will not pay again until October 1.

Meets

We will participate in at least 1 meet each month starting in October.  Meet attendance is not a requirement but highly encouraged to better evaluate swimmers’ growth and development.  Most meet fees are determined by the host teams and Gulf Swimming.  Everything we charge is paid to the host teams except for the team fee.  Please see the meet fee ranges below (may vary outside of this range):

• Surcharge:  $8 - $15 per swimmer
• Event fee:  $8 - $15 per event
• Relay fee:  $15 - $30 per relay team
• Team fee:  $1.50 per event

Again, the coaches and I look forward to seeing everyone back with the team along with new faces.  We will have an fun and exciting season and will see much improvements in all of our swimmers.
